"Peeves." Ana hissed through gritted teeth as she hit the top stair from the second to third corriders. Her hair and clothes were soaked. Her favorite long-sleeved purple shirt was dripping along with her jeans and sneakers. Her once straightened hair was turning into waves and was slapping against her back. She was even sure her eye-liner was probably slipping down her cheek.
She peered around the corner , looking for the little ghost who was about to be killed...again. She saw him floating in the air, his ghostly figure barely registering he was near. She glared at him, her pulse racing in anger.
"I am going to show you." She whipped out her wand, running after him as he flew down the corridor. He hadn't been planning on angerin gAna Krum, someone who was fit enough to keep up with a flying ghost. She knew the exact spell to get him as a ghost ...and he knew it. He flew fast, and at the last moment he went through the ceiling.
She looked up in pure anger, her temper getting the better of her again. However, her body made impact with someone. She let out a loud yelp and flew onto the floor. She hit the ground and felt the wind rush out of her. She started coughing, feeling pain in her back and chest. She felt bad for hitting someone, and her attention was brought away from Peeves for the moment

Sure it was late night but that never stopped Adam from slipping out of the common rooms. After all Gryffindors were known for their courage and taste for adventure. Speaking of taste, well Adam had been sneaking down towards the kitchen, taking his time because he wasn't really hungry. He was watching the pictures and paintings, actually coming off his original course.
He was dressed in a worn pair of blue jeans, a hole in the left knee and obviously worn thin in places to mere strings. It wasn't like he couldn't afford better, he liked his clothes this way. It gave him a more relaxed feel... an appearance. He didn't like wearing the stiff collared shirts and ties that were part of the school uniform. Therefore when he was outside of class and had the time he dressed down. With that he had a pair of black converse shoes and a black tee shirt.
He was just minding his own business when he suddenly heard a commotion. A voice came from somewhere down the halls and Adam was curious as to what was going on. He knew it wasn't a professor so he started following the quickly falling footsteps, obviously stepping out into her path as he turned a corner. Ana crashed hard into him, taking his breath a little bit although he kept his ground. The poor girl however wasn't so fortunate, she went crashing back-wards. It all seemed like slow motion for a moment and Adam turned his head towards her, watching but not able to move yet. She started coughing and Adam immediately reached down to offer her a hand up. He felt bad that he had sort of caused this.... accident. Even if it wasn't really all his fault. He hoped that she wasn't mad at him.
"I'm sorry.", he started as he watched Ana, hoping that she would take his hand. "I just came around the corner, I didn't mean to TKO you." He offered her a smile, hoping she had a sense of humor.

Ana looked up at his hand. He was being nice about it, considering she was the one who had been distracted by Peeves and therefore the one who caused the accident. She took the hand, instinctively rubbing her other hand across her eye. She was thankful there was no makeup on it, one him being a male and two, she looked bad enough with her wet clothes and bruised ego. She was just thankful he was a Gryffindor and not a Slytherin. They probably would have just made her mood worse, what with Peeves disappearing and all.
"No worries," She said, although she couldn't get a chipper voice out of the deal. She was still a little ticked off. "The faults all mine, I was looking up at the air. If I hadn't run into you it would have been the wall, so I suppose I should thank you. Thank you." She stated with a flash of a smile. He wasn't in her year, but she placed him from around. She was friendly enough with Gryffindors. They didn't bother her and they were mostly nice people. If she was right, his name was Adam King. If she was wrong, she had no idea.
"What does TKO mean?" She asked, raising a brow. She wasn't one to get terms. She mostly just talked. OF course, right now she should probably get dried up, She flipped her wand out, muttering a quick tidy up spell. The water evaporated. Thank God Peeves hadn't done worse. She would have really been pissed and wouldn't have even stopped to apologize or anything to Adam.

Ana took Adams hand and he helped her up to her feet, listening as she explained the whole ordeal was her fault. Really he didn't see it that way, at least not being the type to eagerly point the blame on an innocent accident. Besides he didn't mind bumping into her. After all before she came along he was on a quiet and uneventful trip to the kitchens.
"Well in that case," he started as she explained it would have been a wall she would have run into, "I'm glad to be of service." He gave a comedic grin, always trying to find the lighter side of a situation, at least most of the time. He couldn't help but give a slight laugh as she asked what TKO meant. Perhaps she was pure blood and knew very little about muggles and their expressions. Well Adam wasn't one to hide his lineage from anyone and Ana wasn't an exception.
He scratched his head for just a second, before straightening up and bringing his hands as if ready to paint a picture for Ana. "It's a term used in boxing..", yeah that wasn't going to help at all if she didn't know what boxing was. He decided to take the simple route, "It's means a knock out, basically. When you get knocked down by someone else." He didn't want to offend her by talking to her like she was a child so he left it at that. Most girls weren't into sports and Adam understood that.
He rolled from his heels to the balls of his feet, letting out a slight nervous sigh. He wasn't the best at one on one conversations, no he was used to a small crowd. He wasn't extremely popular, not like the Potters or Weasleys but most people knew his name. He settled quickly back on the floor, glancing about as if looking for something interesting. "Mind if I ask who you were busy assaulting before I came along?" He had heard her indistinctly yelling at Peeves, and though her wet attire was one of his trademarks he hadn't heard the ghost. Plus right now Peeves wasn't really on his mind.
