[ Name ] Lily Luna Potter [ Age ] Fifteen [ House ] Gryffindor [ Position ] Commentator The crowd cheered as the Hufflepuff Keeper easily deflected a well-aimed shot at the middle hoop by the Gryffindor team. As the Quaffle fkew ever closer to the hoop, she spun her broom around with incredible speed and, using the end of the broom like a baseball bat, sent the ball flying back into the field.
"Woah! Did you see that, folks? An amazing save by Hufflepuff!" Yelled a little voice jubilantly, but, not surprisingly, the whole crowd seemed to hear it. The speaker, a small, cute girl with messy auburn hair tied back into messy braids, was jumping up and down with excitement as the action continued to unfold on the pitch before her.
Not a second after Hufflepuff's creative save, the Gryffindor Chasers zoomed across the field, where the Quaffle was now being aimed at their own goal hoops.
"I wonder what will happen next! But on a side note," Came the voice in a matter-of-factly tone, "The Hufflepuff Seeker does look very fetching in black and gold." |
Since you can't really try out for Commentator, I just wrote about a game in which Lily commentated. Word.

[ Name ] Ana Krum [ Age ] 16 [ House ] Ravenclaw [ Position ] Seeker Ana kicked off, her broom rising up under her. She felt a calm rush over her as she realized this was where she was meant to be. She might have a father who didn't care, but he had given her a quidditch gene that made her one with the field. She zoomed across it, feeling the wind in her robes and hair.
She looked around the field, her mind working without reason. She wanted the snitch and she could feel it close by. Even if it was, she knew it was hard to catch it so quickly, but if she could find it soon, it would be amazing.
Something caught the corner of her eye and she bent forward quickly, missing a bludger by half an inch. She didn't know if someone hit it or not, but she felt a rush of competitive spirit. She rushed around the field, looking at the corners where the snitch sometimes hid to taunt the players.
To Ana, the snitch was a person, a sneaky person who zoomed around playing with the people who wanted it the most. She wanted it, and therefore she was being played. She didn't even care about the game right now, she cared about that little, evil person known as the snitch.
She glanced at the seeker on the other team, not even registering what team it was. Ana was in her own world, she didn't hear the commentator, she didn't hear the other players or even the cheers. Her father once told her when she was little he got like that, and it scared her that she was no different.
The snitch was suddenly in front of her , and she smiled. It was five yards away, but if she hurried she would catch it. She zoomed after it, but at the last second it whipped away, zooming through some players. She whispered a curse, than circled the field again. |

[ Rose Weasley ] [ Sixteen ] [ Gryffindor ] [ Beater ] Just like her father's side of her family, Rose had a love of Quidditch. However, it was the position of the Beater she loved the most - just like her unlces.
She had heard about the Gryffindor team tryouts from one of the teachers, and Rose knew immediately it was something she had to do.
So, Rose had awoken early to get out on the field and practise. She hadn't eaten anything, but she wasn't hungry anyway. She had her new broom, her Nimbus 2010 with her, and she walked out onto the pitch. It was still too early for anyone else to be out, but it wouldn't take long for the others to get there.
At first, Rose just flew around the field, getting used to the cold, damp morning wind on her. It felt refreshing, and woke her up.
After about thirty minutes, the rest of the Gryffindors showed up. They were all dressed, had their brooms, and looked kind of sleepy. It was a good thing that Rose had gotten up early, she'd be more ready than the rest.
Well, the tryout got on its way, and those that had shown up were split into two teams. Rose flew high up into the air, watching the others, and waiting for the Bludger.
The game got on its way, and every time the Bludger flew at Rose, she hit it hard with her bat. She had fairly good aim, and sent the Bludger at someone from the other team, or at least tried to. Most of the players knew by the end of the game to watch where the Bludger was when it had been near Rose, as she had ended up knocking one poor Gryffindor right off of their broom, luckily they weren't too far from the ground. |

[ Name ] Alyssa Katherine Scott [ Age ] 14 [ House ] RavenClaw [ Position ] Keeper Alyssa stood, looking up at the three goal hoops. She had her broom in hand and she felt very confident. She smiled as she threw her leg of her broom and zoomed up infront of the goal posts. She closed her eyes for a moment, takeing a deep and slow breathe. She could hear the bird and she felt the breez on her face. She opened her eyes and gave a determined face. She rubbed her hands, waiting.
The tryouts started and people shot the quaffel at her five times. The first one she had to zoom to the right and caught it,yes. The second one she had to zoom up and caught it by her fingertips, but she still caught it.Again, yes!
The third one was a bit tricky. She thought she caught it but then it felt like it was slipping threw her grasp. She amedaitly did a flip over it, like she was shielding it. Again she caught the quaffel.
Now she was in mid air, waiting for the fourth. She couldn't help but feel exicted. She loved quittich and she needed to be on the team. The fourth one came fast and straight at her. She caught it in her stomach, it knocking out her breathe. She took little breathes, getting her mind back and then waited, for the fifth and the final shot.
She saw it before it accauly happened. She saw the little moments in the hands and reliazed were to go. She shot to her left and caught it just in time. But she reliazed that the catching in the gut thing might count against her. She took another breathe, the feeling was coming back.
She had caught all five shots but two were barely, and she didnt like that. She liked to be in control. She shook her head at herself as her feet hit the ground. |

[ Name ] Adam King [ Age ] 17 [ House ] Gryffindor [ Position ] Beater Adam kicked off on his broom, rising up into the air. He watched the chest that grew smaller and smaller as he drifted upward, clutching onto his club. Suddenly a whistle blew. This was just a try out and there were no others out on the field. The bludger would be focused on him but that was the purpose, if this were a real game it would be harder to concentrate on his performance due to all the other events.
Adam leaned forward and took off in the direction of the goal posts, he wouldn't try to out run it but he might as well play this up while he can. He had just turned around, leaning to the left when he saw the ball coming his way, he readied himself moving forward a bit then bracing himself as he swung hard hitting it full force and sending it towards the other side of the field. He loved the game, loved the feel of it. There was just something about it, perhaps getting out negative energy or just the general feeling of 'fighting' something. Either way Adam rushed forward towards the opposite side, giving the bludger plenty of time to come back to him. He was calm and relaxed because if there was one thing Adam was good at here at school it was quidditch. |
